1> भारत सरकार ने पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी और नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस को सर्वोच्च सम्मान भारत रत्न दिए जाने पर विचार करने की खबरों का खंडन किया है। सूत्रों से मिली जानकारी के मुताबिक सरकार इस तरह के किसी विषय पर न तो विचार कर रही है न ही इस तरह का कोई प्रस्ताव भेजा गया है। फिर ये खबरें मीडिया के गॉसिप कारखाने से सप्लाई क्यों की जा रही हैं ? 2> मीडिया में मोदी के भोंपू किस तरह काम कर रहे हैं और सुप्रीमकोर्ट और कॉलीजियम को बदनाम कर रहे हैं इसका ताजा नमूना आज सुप्रीम कोर्ट में सामने आया । मीडिया के कु-खबरों के संसार को समझने के लिए यह महत्वपूर्ण है । उल्लेखनीय है मीडिया काफी दिनों से जज मंजुनाथ को हरियाणा-पंजाब के मुख्य न्यायाधीश बनाए जाने की खबर को चलाता रहा है। कहता रहा है कि मंजुनाथ का नाम कॉलीजियम ने संस्तुति करके भेजा है। राम शंकर नाम के व्यक्ति द्वारा सुप्रीम कोर्ट में दायर याचिका पर सुनवाई शुरू होते ही पीठ ने याचिकाकर्ता से जानना चाहा कि उसे इस बारे में किसने सूचना दी कि कॉलेजियम ने किसी नाम की सिफारिश की है। चीफ जस्टिस ने पूछा, 'आपको किसने बताया कि उनके (मंजूनाथ) नाम की पदोन्नति के लिए सिफारिश की गई है, क्योंकि मैं प्रधान न्यायाधीश हूं, मुझे खुद नहीं पता कि क्या कोई दूसरा कॉलेजियम भी है।' पढ़ें पूरी खबर- Chief Justice of India R.M. Lodha in open court on Monday said there is a campaign on to defame the judiciary and denied media reports that said Justice K.L. Manjunath was recommended by his Supreme Court collegium for elevation as Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court. A visibly angry CJI said this while hearing in open court a writ petition filed by an advocate Ram Sanker questioning the lack of transparency in the collegium system of judicial appointments and elevations. The petition said the secrecy of the system was bringing disrepute to the judiciary and the entire appointment process should be made open to public eye by posting it on the Supreme Court's official website. The petitioner questioned the collegium's recommendation of Justice Manjunath. At the start of the hearing, the CJI asked the petitioner's counsel as to how he knew in the first place that the collegium had recommended Justice Manjunath. When the lawyer said through news clippings, the CJI categorically said there was no such recommendation. “We have not recommended Justice Manjunath. Your entire petition is based on erroneous and non-existential facts. I am the CJI and the collegium which I head has not made any such recommendation. This is a misleading campaign against the judiciary to bring it disrepute. For god's sake don't bring writ petitions based on non existential facts,” CJI said in a packed courtroom. He condemned news reports on collegium's recommendation of Justice Manjunath as a “chorus” to spread something that is factually incorrect. “We are more concerned about the purity of the system. We may have problems, but we are following judgments and procedures in the collegium. Don't shake the confidence of the people in the judiciary,” CJI said. On a personal level, he continued that he was the first judge to be selected under the collegium system and Justice Rohinton Nariman (also on the bench) the last judge appointed. “Everyone says collegium has failed... collegium has failed... all the judges today was appointed by the collegium,” the CJI said, dismissing the writ petition as “erroneous”.(दैनिक हिन्दू ) (स्रोत-एफबी)
